The Asian Association for Agricultural Engineering (AAAE) was formally established on December 5, 1990 by virtue of a vote of the assembly after discussion from the floor by participants at the International Agricultural Engineering Conference, held at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand, December 3 - 6, 1990.
AAAE was formed for the general advancement of the agricultural engineering profession and for its application in all aspects, as it relates to the Asian Region of influence in the World.
AAAE is a professional organization in the region, primarily focusing on strengthening the profession of Agricultural Engineering by promoting information exchange, and improving communications. We strive to formulate, establish, and promote voluntary academic, professional, and technical standards of relevance to the profession of Agricultural Engineering in Asia. We support, at the international level, the activities of national Agricultural Engineering societies or related associations and to maintain liaison among them. We coordinate and assist in organizing timely international meetings in cooperation with national societies/ associations within the region.
